Wonderworking Power

Colossians 2

2 Timothy 3:1-9

“…having a form of Godliness but denying its power.” -2 Timothy 3:5 (NIV)

Have you ever marveled at the beauty and grace of a butterfly? The intricate wing patterns and effortless flight make the butterfly a unique treasure among God’s creatures. And yet, we know the butterfly was once a simple unremarkable caterpillar foraging through the leaves. Within the shrouded mystery of a cocoon, the power of the Creator made this amazing transformation possible.

In our own lives, this same kind of transformation is also possible. Lives lived in brokenness and sin can be redeemed, restored, and reborn to the glory of Christ. Unlike those in Today’s Scripture who loved the things of this world more than God, we can surrender our lives to Christ and allow Him to transform our lives through His wonderworking power. Through our own strength we can change nothing; He sees the beautiful creation we can become through the power of His forgiveness and love.

Heavenly Father, wrap me up in Your love today, change my heart, and give me the strength to live a life of faithfulness for You today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
