Devotions in Colossians
Putting It All Together

Read Colossians 1:9-14

Today we come to the end of another week in our journey through Colossians. We learned this week that we can pray for others according to the words of Scripture, packing Biblical power into our prayers.

It is now time to apply what we have learned to our own personal prayer life. Think of different people that God has continually laid on your heart lately. Take time today to pray for each one according to the prayer we have studied in Colossians chapter 1. Pray the prayer shown below out loud inserting the name of each person where you find (NAME) as you pray. Pray through this prayer as many times as you need and incorporate this prayer into your daily prayer life.

Dear God, I continually ask You to fill (NAME) with the knowledge of Your will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that (NAME) may live a life worthy of the Lord and please You in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of You, being strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might so that (NAME) may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to You the Father, who has qualified (NAME)] to share in the inheritance of Your holy people in the kingdom of light. For You have rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of Your Son You love, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
